    Regionals Day1 Recap

The Cougar Track team made their school proud with another good showing in limited action on the first day of regionals at the Austintown Fitch stadium on a hot May evening.

Connor Duricky made it to finals in both the 110M and 300M Hurdles which will take place on Friday afternoon.

The boys and girls 4x800 and teams ran hard but were up against some very stiff competition and were unfortunately unable to advance.  The girls 4x100M team also turned in another stellar performance but was also in a very competitive field and did not make it to finals on Friday.   Hats off to these relay teams for improving their performance over the course of the season.  Just advancing to regionals is a big deal.   And thank you to the seniors on these teams for their leadership and inspiration over the course of your track career.  It was greatly appreciated.

Good luck to the athletes that will be performing on Friday:

    • Taylor Newhart - 1600M
    • Abbey Rojeck - 3200M
    • Silvija Taraska - Discus
    • Connor Duricky - 110M & 300M Hurdles
    • Jacob Keating - 1600M, 3200M
