Regionals Day 2: Connor and Jacob Advance, Strong Performances by All

    Original

Another meet, another excellent showing by our Lake Catholic Cougars!!

Connor Duricky advanced to states in both of his hurdle events in a very crowded and competitive field.  He finished 4th in the 110M Hurdles and 3rd in the 300M Hurdles.  Jacob Keating finished 2nd in the 3200M, beating out Joe Polakowski at the finish line for the 2nd straight meet, this time in less than a hundredths of a second.

While Connor and Jacob were the only Lake Catholic team members to advance to states, the Cougars had several other inspiring performances today.  Abbey Rojeck ran strong in the 3200M girls event finishing ahead of her seeding.  Silvija Taraska made it to the discus finals and narrowly missed the podium.  Taylor Newhart put out quite an effort in the heat to finish ahead of her seeding as well.

Congratulations to all of the athletes for competing at Regionals this week, thank you for the large contingent of fans that came to cheer them on, and good luck to Jacob and Connor at States next week!
